Agassiz Cycle Tour

July 23, 2011

A Slow Food Cycle Event

The date is set for 2011.  See you on Saturday, July 23rd

The Agassiz Cycle Tour is a leisurely self-guided cycle tour around a 25 km flat route visiting farms and meeting farmers.  Stops feature special events, guided tours, samples, taste plates to purchase and a wide variety of fresh and food products available to purchase and take home.  The popular shopping shuttle service will be available as bicycle panniers only hold so much.

Spend the weekend!   Enjoy great accommodations and romantic getaways in the area, from the Harrison Hotsprings Resort, to nearby Provincial and private campgrounds, to cozy bed-and-breakfasts (click on ‘Where to Stay’ on the left of this page). The following day, join us on the Chilliwack Cycle Tour where you experience new farms,  food offerings and spectacular scenery.

Tour Date: July 23, 2011 (rain or shine)

Times:  9am – 4pm (arrive and leave at your leisure!)

Start Location:  We have a new start location for this year’s event at the corner of Cameron and McCallum Road (on the way to the Agassiz Speedway).  Click here for directions and map.

Meet Honeyview Farm at the start location and meet artist, Rocky LaRock of the Sts’ailes. Browse Sts’ailes artworks, check out info on their great local accommodations, including Sasquatch Crossing Eco Lodge (9 rooms), Sts’ailes Lhawathet Lalem (groups 30 - 150), and Provincial Recreation Campgrounds (7).  Have a Shiatsu massage from registered therapist Sara Doyle - special Slow Food Cycle Tour pricing of $10 for each 15 minutes of rejuvenating massage.
