Agassiz Cycle Tour
August 21, 2010
A Slow Food Cycle Event
Starting at the Fall Fair Grounds in Agassiz (FITNESS ACTIVITY CENTRE) after breakfast prepared by Kilby Farms and perked up with a Back Porch Coffee, leisurely cycle a self-guided tour around a 25 km flat route visiting farms and meeting farmers. Stops feature special events, guided tours, samples, taste plates to purchase and a wide variety of fresh and food products available to purchase and take home. The ‘shopping shuttle service’ is available as panniers only hold so much. Join our popular Treasure Hunt for a chance at additional prizes! Pick up the Treasure Hunt information at the registration table or download and print it by clicking here.
Spend the weekend. This year we have a Saturday night Chehalis Traditional Salmon Feast! Sts’ailes Tourism welcomes us to the Charlie Long House. Starting at 6pm enjoy a feast, stories, dance and arts. (A limited number of tickets will still be available for the Salmon Dinner at the registration table on Saturday morning.)
Enjoy great accommodations and romantic getaways in the area, from the Harrison Hotsprings Resort, to nearby Provincial and private campgrounds, to cozy bed-and-breakfasts (click on ‘Where to Stay’ on the left of this page). The following day, join us on the Chilliwack Cycle Tour where you experience new farms, food offerings and spectacular scenery.
