Chief Willie Charlie and Family invite you to enjoy a rare glimpse into a traditional Chehalis Long House, and an introduction to the culture, lands and history of the Chehalis.  The Chehalis are known for their generosity and welcoming spirit, and you will enjoy a feast of the senses, as you experience a traditional cultural celebration, while immersed in the way of life of the host family, in their community, located along the Harrison River, within the beautiful Coast Mountains of southwestern BC.
Willie Charlie has been listening to the stories of his Elders since childhood and is a chosen storyteller among the Chehalis people. Chief Willie Charlie accurately retells these wonderful stories and the lessons rooted within them.  Experience the spirituality of their sacred family home as they perform songs and dances passed down for generations.  Traditional refreshments, including salmon, locally sourced greens and Red Fife Wheat Flour bannock and Indian teas will be served.
