City Farm Boy
April 19
There’s a movement happening, and it’s called Urban Farming!
Ward Teulon is our City Farm Boy committed to promoting urban agriculture, farming and gardening as a viable and environmentally positive way to enhance landscapes and lifestyles. He offers garden consulting and design services to help people grow their own food and builds and installs beautiful raised bed vegetable gardens. As an urban farmer, he also grows fruits and vegetables commercially in urban gardens and sells through the local farmers markets.
New in 2008 is the City Farm Boy CSA, an urban farming adventure in the heart of Vancouver, BC. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a locally charged commitment to bring the producers and consumers of food together to share the risks and rewards of food production.
The City Farm Boy CSA is unique in that the produce is grown on a collection of front and back-yard plots owned by Vancouver resident neighbours. What this means is that City Farm Boy harvests travel very few miles from the ground to your table. City Farm Boy provides fresh, healthy vegetables from beautiful, bountiful gardens adorning neighbourhood yards in Vancouver and offers our community fresh, new vibrant connections with food, farmers, land and each other.
