Get a wiggle on!

Three years ago, after thirty-six years as an owner operator in the trucking industry I found myself with a lay-over in Armstrong, BC.  After waiting a day, the only load dispatch could find was a load of worm castings from Kelowna headed for Phoenix, Oregon.  Hauling worm poop didn

As I may have mentioned, thirty-six years in trucking and with things definitely not what they used to be, I was looking around for some new way to occupy myself, pay the bills and quite literally keep me off the streets.  We are fortunate to live on a couple of acres here in Chilliwack and the idea of making a living from it is very appealing.  And so, my wife and I started up EarthWorks Composting Supplies which is dedicated to promoting the advantages of vermiculture and helping reduce, recycle and re-use organic waste currently headed for our over-stretched landfills.

Our family owned worm farm is located approximately one hour east of Vancouver. Here we raise red wigglers, the best all-round composting worm and now stock European Nightcrawlers, the ideal bait worm.  These are beautiful worms, perfect for fishing and composting alike. Our selection of upward-migration worm bins has been chosen for their quality, easy management and high content of re-cycled materials. We believe in that old analogy that a picture is worth a thousand words and have working examples of all our products on display.

On Slow Food Cycle Tour day, learn about the Worm Factory, The Worm Inn and The Worm Wigwam and how these composting systems can help you recycle your food scraps, junk mail and other organic waste right at home!  Ask about the UrBin Grower and how you can conserve water by watering plants the way nature intended.  Stop by for a tour, some hands on fun and a personal introduction to our industrious little works.  Our family welcomes you!!
