For the Love of Local Food

This October the Coquitlam Farmers Market is holding their first-ever fundraising dinner, For the Love of Local Food.

On Saturday October 13th you are invited to enjoy a unique evening of fine local food prepared with conscience and flair, For the Love of Local Food.

This gourmazing three-course meal will highlight local food, from local producers, prepared by local chefs. Chefs Suave Jedynak of Pacific Rim Grille and Fred Soofi of Pasta Polo will be using fresh, seasonal produce from local vendors at the Coquitlam Farmers Market to prepare mouth-watering dishes.  The evening will also feature guest speaker Kim Sutherland, Slow Food member and Regional Agrologist from the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Lands; BC wines; and entertainment by local musicians Don Kellett and Rosemary Campbell.

The dinner will be held in the Centennial Room at the Poirier Community Centre (630 Poirier St) in Coquitlam.  Doors open at 6pm. Cash Bar.  Tickets are $40 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under.
