Slow Food Vancouver will hold its AGM on the same evening as the Terra Madre Day celebration. The main objective is to put in place the executive committee. The positions available are listed below.
Slow Food Vancouver – Executive Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
The following provides a brief overview of the volunteer positions available with Slow Food Vancouver. Time Commitment: the following volunteers should attend the 6 Executive Meetings/year, agm + meetings related to their area of responsibility. In addition, it is estimated that the leader can be a minimum of 10 hours/week and other positions 2-3 hours/week.
Convivium Leader
Description: As the official spokesperson for Slow Food Vancouver, has responsibility and accountability to uphold the rules and expectations of Slow Food International, Slow Food Canada and the local convivium.
Pre-Requisites: Must be a member of slow food for at least 2 years.
Secretary/Treasurer
Description: Providing the check and balance function, liaison and communication with local members and international on all financial and membership issues.
Education Lead
Descripton: Develops and implements an annual education plan which includes Tastings, Workshops and Events in consultation with Marketing and Youth.
Marketing Lead
Description: Develops and implements marketing initiatives to support events and activities and includes liaising with the Webmaster.
Youth Lead
Description: Develops and implements activities for children, teens and youth under age 30 that includes academics and students.
Volunteer Lead
Description: Responsibility to recruit and have trained volunteers for events and activities.
Sponsorship Lead
Description: Ensuring compliance with international and national guidelines, ensures that events and activities have the required level of financial support.
Membership Lead
Description: As a member driven organization, implements the strategies to enhance and attract membership.
