7th Annual Tomato Potluck Picnic

We’re hoping for perfect weather to bless the 7th annual Slow Food Tomato Potluck Picnic.

Come share some of your tomato harvest or visit your local farmer’s market in preparation for this summer’s 7th Annual Slow Food Tomato Potluck Picnic.  Each potluck dish is prepared using tomato as a primary or secondary ingredient.  It’s a tomato lover’s feast!

Where:  at the north end of Kitsilano Beach
When: Sunday, August 30th
Time:  5:00pm
Bring: your own plates, cutlery, beverages, blanket or beach/lawn chair . . . and a dish to share!

In past years we were treated to a beautiful evening and a spectacular sunset at our newer venue for the picnic. We were even entertained by a group of Morris dancers nearby. The dishes, as always, have been delicious and inventive, and they showcased the August bounty that is the BC tomato.  Come join us at the 2009 edition of the picnic!
