Annual Christmas Sweets Event

Join us for our annual Christmas event at Origins Coffee on Granville Island!

John Sanders, of Origins, will start off our convivial event with a “Seed to Cup” presentation.  John worked in pest control before becoming a coffee roaster.  We’ll let him tell the story of how that happened.  Life’s passions do sometimes come in magical and mysterious ways.  The presentation will include the steps from seed to cup, tastings, history and fun facts.

The coffee tastings will be enjoyed along with sweets provided by Slow Food member hobby bakers.  Christina, our Convivium Leader, will bring one of her popular german cheese cakes (made with local Agassiz Farm Houses Cheeses Quark).

With a touch of seasonal decor, music and a little mulled “something”, the evening will also include the annual Christmas cookie exchange . . . so bake up a storm . . . bring two dozen cookies wrapped in packets of (4).  Each packet of (4) can be exchanged for another’s packet of (4).
