It’s time for our “PEAK OF SPRING” Potlucks. . .

May 10th and 17th, 2008

Join us and celebrate spring at the PEAK OF SPRING Potlucks.

#1.  Low and Slow . . . Its barbeque night at Marett and Graham’s in Kitsilano.  On May 10th we are having a spring potluck and it will be meaty, smoky, and lots of fun.  For those of you who are not acquainted with southern style bbq, have a look at this website: http://amazingribs.com

We will be making pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw.  If you have never had pulled pork, you are in for a real treat.  It will be home smoked for 12 hours and should be falling off the bone good and tasty.

We can host up to 8 bbq enthusiasts or anyone who is curious.  Please let us know what you intend to bring so we can coordinate the evening.  It could be baked beans, corn bread, nachos or anything else that fits with good barbeque.  This isn’t a backyard grill type bbq, but a long, slow smoky affair. BYO Wine or beer, both work. Hope to see you here and keep our fingers crossed for great Vancouver spring weather. Please rsvp to: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

#2.  Spring has finally sprung. . . and the markets are bursting with the first fresh, tender promises of summertime’s bounty. Join us, Sandra and Peter, for a potluck on May 17th, at about 6:30pm, to celebrate this most delicious new season. We can accommodate 10 guests for a sit-down dinner, indoors or out, weather depending.

We plan to start the evening off with Peter’s unique take on the classic Caesar salad, and finish up with a decadent raspberry and chocolate concoction. In between there’s room for more appetizers, a few main courses, some side dishes, and another dessert or two. Bring your favourite springtime treat, with enough to share. An outdoor grill, high-BTU burners, and full indoor kitchen facilities are available for those who need them.

Oh, and be warned: we do have dogs—two friendly, but enthusiastic mutts, so dog lovers (or at least dog-tolerant) only, please!
